ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAMMETRY

Photogrammetry is a technique which enables objects and structures to be surveyed and modelled from photographic images. The models created are rendered photorealistic by the application of rectified photographic textures to the surfaces.

Using advanced calibrated digital cameras to aquire imagery enables large structures to be modelled rapidly, and facilitates the transfer of data to computer for processing.

The techniques utilised by Digital Structures can be adapted to suit the accuracy demands of the project. Rapid survey techniques can be employed to create quick models for general visualisation purposes whereas for high levels of accuracy the model can be tied to precise control points established by theodolite survey.

Model data may be exported in a variety of formats including ACad, 3d Studio and VRML.
